Description

Our Arabica Green Coffee Beans are procured from the famous Araku Valley, in the eastern ghats of South India.

Green coffee bean extract comes from Coffee beans before they’ve roasted. Coffee beans contain antioxidants known as chlorogenic acids, which are believed to help lower blood pressure and have weight loss benefits. When coffee is roasted, the chlorogenic acid content is greatly reduced, so drinking coffee is not the same as drinking the green coffee beans extract.

Apart from the weight loss properties, our Arabica green beans are also good for home roasting coffee.

Did you know that Coffee can also be roasted in our daily used kitchen tawa’s? There are lot’s of videos in youtube to guide us about roasting.

Home roasting of coffee beans gives you the freedom of roasting the coffee to your desired taste.

India’s first tribal growers organic coffee brand was launched in the Araku Valley in 2007. Coffee grown in Araku Valey is Organic and Fair Trade-certified. Thousands of tribals in the Agency area are engaged in coffee cultivation as farm hands or small farmers.

Araku coffee, grown in the Eastern Ghats, the Chintapalli and Paderu areas of Visakhapatnam is in International demand for being an organic produce and for its aromatic flavour. It also won the ‘Flavour of India – the Fine Cup Award’ after being adjudged the best coffee of the year 2012 by an International jury in Melbourne. Coffee was introduced to the tribal communities by the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) and technically supported by the Coffee Board

The Naandi Foundation too initiated operations in the Agency areas in 2001, identifying tribal farmers in the Araku and expanded its activities to more locations in the region, establishing a special cooperative of all coffee farmers to improve their livelihoods.
